Tomato and health
Healthy food that should be regularly consumed fresh or manufactured. Some of the ingredients in tomato are lost by cooking e.g. vitamin C, but some are increased like e.g. LYCOPENE that gives tomato the red color.
Regular usage of tomato reduces circulation problems of heart, brain and veins and prevents forming of the blood clots. It is considered that the composition of the gelatinous mass around the tomato seeds is the cause.
Tomato possesses Lycopene which is one of the pigments of carotene family as well as the carrot is. Lycopen is the powerful antioxidant not produced by organism. Vitamins C and D as oxidants of so called free radicals that protect the organism should be mentioned.
Tomato is diuretic that sweeps toxins out of the organism, improves the appetite and wipes out scurvy.
