About lycopene

Lycopene is the plant pigment and gives tomato its red color.
Lycopene is liposoluble compound and for that reason it is found 8 times more in ketchup than in tomato.
In every 30 g of ketchup there is 3 mg of lycopene, which is the quantity needed for daily intake.
Lycopene is a kind of provitamin A and helps the growth and improves the sight.

Lycopene is deposited in tissue, first of all in prostate gland, liver and in suprarenal gland thus reducing oxidative damages of biological systems, DNK molecules, lipoproteins...

Lycopene binds free radicals and neutralizes their harmful effects. Lycopene reduces the risk of appearance of malignant changes in prostate gland, breast, cervix of uterus, lungs, digestion system...
